Patti Labelle received tonight’s 2011 BET Lifetime Achievement Award. Presented by Gladys Knight, other singers including Beyonce, Cee Lo Green, Marsha Ambrosius, and Shirley Caesar lent their voices and shared their kind words for Patti. One thing I remember Patti saying was “I don’t do many sad love songs, I’m not that kind of girl.” And that’s the kind of woman we should all look up to!! Nothing but positive energy, ambition, natural talent, and beauty!! Congratulations Patti on an achievement well deserved!
