Yea it’s Friday but unless you actually downloaded the infamous Rebecca Black song, you’ll no longer have an anthem to “get down” to!! The singer’s notorious “Friday” music video was pulled off YouTube on Thursday. Find out why after the jump!!
If you try to watch the video, a notice pops up saying, “This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Rebecca Black. Sorry about that.”
According to the website NME.com, the video was pulled in a dispute with Ark Music, who originally penned the hit track.
A spokesperson for Black told TMZ: “We can confirm that we submitted a take down notice to YouTube as a result of the dispute we have with Ark Music regarding the ‘Friday’ video.”
Prior to it being pulled, the video had more than 167 million views since it first hit YouTube this past February.
Some critics and viewers have called the tune â€the worst song ever,†and Black, a 13-year-old from Anaheim, CA., even received death threats after its release.
But don’t worry… if you wan’t to see Rebecca you can catch her in Katy Perry’s latest mini-movie/music video “Last Friday Night.”
