Even though personally I want the Oklahoma City Thunder to win their series against the Grizzlies, even I have to say this is a cheap call. The NBA today suspended Grizzlies big man Zach Randolph for tomorrow’s deciding game seven for “punching” Thunder center Steven Adams. Punching is in quotation marks because it is hardly a punch. In fact during the game itself it was just called a normal foul. For some reason the league reviewed it today and decided the suspension was necessary. With that said it pretty much kills any chance of the Grizzlies winning the game against the Thunder. Hit the jump.

It has been a tough season for the Grizzlies so far. At 12-16, they are doing much worse than expected and with the Western conference being packed with good teams, the Grizzlies need every win they can get. After blowing a big lead in the 4th quarter against the Rockets last night, big man Zach Randolph went in on how the refs called the game and blamed them 100% for the loss. The Rockets shot 20 more free throws than Memphis which may mean he has a point. Hit the jump for the audio. I am sure he can expect a fine soon.

Zach Randolph doesn’t want to leave Memphis. But there are rumors. Ones he is being shopped around or that he could bolt as a free agent. It’s all about the money. Memphis is a small market team that isn’t going to pay the luxury tax and Marc Gasol is going to get a big contract again in a couple years. So Randolph could be the odd man out. Except he doesn’t want to be.

Congratulations to Zach Randolph & his fiancee! They welcomed a bouncing baby boy last night. Zach had to leave the Grizzlies/Pelicans game during the 2nd quarter when he learned that his fiancee went into labor. Can’t wait to see Little Z-Bo.
NBA: Zach Randolph Disses Blake Griffin..Again
Damn Zach! It’s not bad enough you sent Blake and the Clippers home for the summer? LOL. It has been obvious for a couple seasons now that Randolph is not a fan of Blake Griffin. He has referred to him as “soft” numerous times, and even mentioned Griffin and the way he was complaining about his ankle right before their playoff series started. Well the Grizzlies took care of the Clippers, but big Zach still had to make a comment about Blake. Check it out after the jump.
