When an award show goes down, the city its hosted in makes a weekend of events out of it, and such was the case this past weekend in ATL for the 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards. Moët & Chandon Nectar Impérial Rosé presented the “Executive Lounge” black-tie dinner at STK, and it was definitely a who’s who of the music industry. After breaking out onto the scene this past summer, Brooklyn’s own Bobby Shmurda releases the official remix to his Hot N*gga record. The remix features an all-star cast consisting of Brooklyn natives Fabolous and Busta Rhymes, as well as Jadakiss, Chris Brown, Yo Gotti, and Shmurda’s GS9 comrade Rowdy Rebel. Now that we’ve had several unofficial remixes as well as the reggae remix, let’s see what the Brooklyn newcomer can do with his follow up record.
The Game calls on Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Diddy, Fabolous, Wale, DJ Khaled, Swizz Beatz, Yo Gotti, Currensy, Problem, King Pharaoh & TGT for this one called “Don’t Shoot.” The song is dedicated to slain teenager Mike Brown and donations will be donated to the Justice for Mike Brown charity.
