It’s early but we certainly have a dunk of the year candidate. On Tuesday night the Lakers defeated the Pelicans 116-95 with the help of Xavier Henry off the bench. Henry dropped 15 points including 3-of-3 from the behind the arc but this monster dunk was the highlight of the night. Withey planted his feet and was prepared to take the charge but he got way more than he bargained for.
NBA: Nick Young Benched, Xavier Henry to Start For the Lakers
The talk of the town has been the Los Angeles Lakers bench players. In the Lakers home opener against their arena rivals the Clippers, they shocked everyone by winning 116-103 with the bench scoring a jaw dropping 76 points. Leading the charge was Xavier Henry with a career high 22-points. In fact Henry has been playing so well, he’s set to replace Nick Young as a starter.
