Drake is out here breaking records, he gross $84.3 million off of 54 shows. The past title holder was Jayz and Kanye with their Watch The Throne Tour, that tour grossed $75.6 million in 2012. The Summer Sixteen surpass Jay and Kanye Watch The Throne Tour even though Drake had less dates, Watch The Throne had 63 and Summer Sixteen had 56.

Drake seems to be a part of every headline this week, in a great way. First, there was OVO Fest, where he just brought out just about everyone. Then, the new single for Nothing Was the Same. Now, news break that he is covering XXL’s 150th issue. And, “Watch the Throne” under his name? People at XXL could not have planned it better, thanks to Kanye’s words. Not to mention, Drake named Kanye as his competition in the cover story; “It’s tough for me. That’s a guy I can’t pretend not to like. He’s the guy to me, in a lot of ways. That’s Kanye West. But I’m also here to be the best. I’m here to surpass. I’m here to outdo. I’m ready for whatever with anybody.”

Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake are headed on tour this summer, and the ticket sales are so good already, they’re outselling Jay & Kanye’s 2011 “Watch The Throne” tour by a whopping 5 to 1! The web traffic to StubHub for their tour is also 3x that of the traffic for WTT. Damn, homie!
