This really saddens me. Not only is Rock The Bells an awesome experience of true hip-hop, but this year was the 10th anniversary, and it included the holograms of both Eazy-E and ODB. How could the ticket sales be so poor, especially in hip-hop’s birth place?! Unfortunately such is the case, and the folks behind RTB were forced to cancel not only the NY dates but the Washington D.C. dates as well. French Montana definitely has a hit on his hands with “Freaks,” his current single featuring Nicki Minaj. BUT, it was always meant to be his song! In fact, the Lil’ Vicious-sampled beat was originally given to Wale, but French convinced him to give it to him when the pair had a studio session a while back! When French’s Excuse My French tour kicked off in Wale’s hometown of D.C. last night, French brought him out as the surprise guest and revealed the “Freaks” secret to the crowd.
