A Waka Flocka concert ended Dianne D.’s marriage…and she couldn’t be happier about it. The social media communications adviser from South Florida recently blogged about her experience in a post called, “How a Waka Flocka Flame Concert Ended My Marriage and Saved My Life.” Here’s the deal: Working in social media, Dianne saw that artists on Twitter were doing a better job at promo than even the experts were, and one person that really stuck out was Waka Flocka. So, she decided to follow him and he quickly followed her back, resulting in a barrage of mutual RT’s. At the same time this was going on, Dianne was going through some major trouble with her marriage. So when she saw Flocka announce a show near her town, she decided to go…despite the fact her husband hated rap and didn’t want her to attend. “He basically implied that (and I’m paraphrasing) ‘many black men would be putting their bodies in close proximity to mine.’” she wrote in her blog. “Also, since I was so ‘enamored of Waka, if Waka asked, I might go out clubbing with him and end up doing something I’d regret.” Of course she went anyway, and it ended up being the straw that broke the camel’s back in her marriage.
