92 Year Old Veteran Admits To Bootlegging Movies For The Troops

A 92-year-old veteran has quite the interesting hobby, he bootlegs movies for soldiers. Hyman Strachman, who fought in World War II, purchased bootleg movies from his local barbershop and takes them home to duplicate them and send them to troops in Iraq and Afghansitan. According to Strachman, movies are a big entertainment source for deployed troops. So far Strachman has sent over 4,000 boxes of free DVDs to the troops. Read more below. Julie1205


Last Known World War I Veteran Dies At 110

Florence Green, the last known World War I veteran, passed away on Tuesday at age 110 in her home. Green joined the Women’s Royal Air Force in 1918 at age 17. Green died just two weeks short of her 111th birthday. Read more after the jump. Julie1205
