Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Launching On Verizon

Verizon announced today that the Galaxy Note 10.1 will be available online and in stores on March 7th. The pricing for the LTE-capable tablet will be set at $599.99 without a contract. Verizon’s version of the Galaxy Note 10.1 is similar to the Wi-Fi-only model and consumers can expect it to include  Android 4.1 Jelly Bean preloaded on the Galaxy Note 10.1. Verizon & AT&T Looking To End Subsidies Like T-Mobile

Verizon and At&t are watching the moves of Tmo and looking into Ending Subsidies. What does this mean for mobile customers, its means the days of paying for a subsided maybe over and paying up to $700 for a mobile device, yikes. Verizon’s Lowell McAdam said ‘this is a great idea”, of course he would say that since this would widen a mobile carriers profit line. The only question is, are Americans ready for a jump like that. Verizon FiOS Adds More NFL Channels To Live Stream

Extreme levels of attention, popularity, licensing and piracy concerns are just a few reasons as to why the NFL hasn’t been streamed Live until now. Verizon FiOS customers who have the NFL Network and NFL RedZone are now able to stream the two channels from anywhere in the US with a broadband connection.  This includes Thursday night games, NFL Total Access, NFL GameDay, NFL AM and more. Verizon FiOS App Streams LIVE !!!!

Verizon released their FiOS app a little over 2 years ago; stripped of the goods from day one. Rumors of a LIVE TV streaming feature were just that. Tech Talk News: Verizon Attempts To Shut Out Competition

When traveling outside of your cellphone coverage area your phone jumps to other carriers networks to stay in service. Verizon made an attempt to shut out other carriers from being able to roam onto their network. Their claim was that it is mere business competition; you don’t have towers? Too bad! But a rule from 2011 that requires mobile data providers to offer roaming agreements to their competitors said No Way Jose! Roaming agreements are crucial for smaller carriers who risk losing customers if unable to provide service outside of their region. Basically on that 24 hr drive to Florida with the Fam next summer, You’ll be connected the whole way! Gotta thank the FCC for this one !! Tat Wza


Tech Talk News: Verizon is Canning V Cast Service

Verizon customers will no long have V Cast as part of their plan as Verizon is moving forward with its newer verison of V cast called Viewdini.  Verizon says it will be making the switch on dec 15, so Verizon customers have 2 weeks left with the service.  Not sure how Verizon subscription mobile service is going to workout since mobile users have more than handful of options like Hulu, Netflix, Amazon to name a few.
