Girl Group Claims Bruno Mars Jacked ‘Uptown Funk’ From Them

Poor Bruno Mars can’t even be let alone in peace with his Grammy-winning hit song. A female rap group called The Sequence are claiming that Bruno was inspired by their song “Funk You Up” which was big back in 1979. The group – which consists of Angie Stone, Cheryl the Pearl and Blondy – have yet to actually file a lawsuit, but there has been a lot of talk on the street that they are planning to do so. Funny how Bruno JUST won a Grammy for a song and now people want to sue…. smh. Listen to both songs below and let us know if the ladies have a valid point or not.


False Alarm: Trinidad James Did NOT Win A Grammy For “Uptown Funk”

Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’s “Uptown Funk” won two Grammy’s the other day for “Record of the Year” and “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.” Trinidad James was credited on the song due to the fact that his “All Gold Everything” was inserted in the hook. Unfortunately, this does not mean that James won a Grammy for the song.

After performing together last week for the Superbowl, Beyonce and Bruno Mars have probably formed some kind of bond. That’s could be why he was so hype while she was onstage during last night’s Grammy Awards presenting ‘Record of the Year’, however his outburst has caused some to believe that the “Uptown Funk” singer was tipped off about the win. Bruno shouted, “Let’s do it Beyonce!” before Beyonce was able to announce the winner, then seconds later “Uptown Funk” took the win, sending conspiracy theorists into a frenzy. Check it out below.
