Miley Cyrus is a FAR cry from the innocent young girl that graced TV screens as Hannah Montana a few years back. In fact, in what appears to be an effort to distance herself from that role as much as possible, the former child actress has been twerking her way into the hip-hop community, while simultaneously leaving her bra at home quite often when stepping outside for photo ops and lacing her new music with drug references. Hannah Montana is no more. Speaking to a UK publication, Miley allegedly admitted she’s “f*cked up” and has “so many f*cking issues,” so this could explain the drastic change! Can people who don’t really get twerking stop talking about it? Since Miley brought twerking mainstream, news channels can’t shut their mouths about it. ABC decided to hire their own twerking correspondent, Michelle Olson, a professor of exercise science and a certified strength and conditioning coach at Auburn University in Montgomery, Ala. and she described twerking as: “You take a wide stance with your legs turned out at 10 and 2 so your hips are externally rotated…Then you pulse up and down as you thrust the pelvis bone forward and back.” This sounds like the anthropology of twerking, and it’s so ridiculous Twitter got wild in its response and went in, creating fake news stories.
