Can We Expect A Run-D.M.C. Reunion In The Near Future?! Rev Run And Funk Flex Exchange Tweets!!

I can’t even begin to describe how excited I would be if this really happened!! Earlier today Funk Flex tweeted to Rev Run of Run-D.M.C. and asked when we can expect a Run-D.M.C. reunion in NYC anytime soon. Since I rarely see Rev Run answer people’s tweets, I wasn’t expecting Flex to get a response, but he did and an awesome one at that! As you know legendary hip hop group Run-D.M.C. tragically lost their DJ after he was shot and killed back in October 2002. Following Jam Master Jay’s death, Run-D.M.C. turned down a performance at their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. The last performances of the group as a whole was back in the summer 2002 right before Jam Master Jay was killed  when they opened for Aerosmith on The Girls of Summer Tour, which I was in the audience for. Could Flex make this historic reunion happen?! I personally think he can, but we’ll have to wait and see. Read the tweets between Rev Run and Funk Flex after the jump. @Julie1205

Alec Baldwin and His Daughter Catch Heat Over Writing Out “N-ggas in Paris” Without Censoring It On Twitter

First let me start out this piece by saying, I am not black. I understand the negative connotation this word carries and I also understand that I’m not going to feel the same pain a black person can feel when they hear that word because neither myself nor my ancestors dealt with what they did. I get that and I fully agree with CERTAIN reactions. Something like the story I’m about to share, however….I feel it is RIDICULOUS. People use the term “racist” WAY too freely these days. Alec Baldwin’s daughter went on Twitter the other day and professed her love for Jay and Kanye’s song, “N*ggas In Paris,” but instead of the little star I kindly inserted in place of the “i” (thus censoring the word,) Ireland wrote it out. Her dad quickly RT’d to attempt to clear it up (I don’t think he realized it was a song name at first) and wrote, “think this is reference 2 a celebration of hip-hop music in France. Just clearin’ that up.” (LOL….gotta laugh at that one). His daughter immediately started catching flack from both her and her father’s followers, with the term “racist” filling up her @ replies. Alec Baldwin Surprises Everyone On Twitter When He Said He Liked A Certain Jay-Z & Kanye Song!

Alec Baldwin is a crazy dude… this we know. But the popular actor shocked his Twitter followers today when he announced that his favorite Jay-Z and Kanye song is “N*ggas in Paris.” Some pulled the racism card against him for actually using the word, however, that IS the correct title of the song. Hit the jump to see his tweets and tell us what you think about the situation. I wonder what Kanye & Jay’s response would be! Wendy L.
