Another celebrity makes a note of publicly addressing the atrocities occurring in Ferguson, Missouri following the deaths of TWO unarmed men. Speaking with REVOLT, B.o.B. — who has just released the track “New Black” — chimes in on the issue. “I just wanted to be a voice and speak my piece on everything that’s going on and [making something] therapeutic for everybody, because it’s a lot of energy that’s being released, there’s a lot of emotions there,” the ATL rapper said to REVOLT. “And I feel like we all just need to be hand-in-hand at this time.” Check it out after the jump.


Talib Kweli Recounts His Trip To Ferguson Via REVOLT

Brooklyn-bred emcee Talib Kweli joined the rising number of protesters in Ferguson, Missouri. Just like the others standing united, he was verbally attacked and threatened by police, to say the least. According to REVOLT, marching alongside was activist and noted journalist Rosa Clemente, poet Jessica Care Moore, and members of the Fellowship of Reconciliation and Dream Defenders. In his recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid, Wiz Khalifa made it very clear that he does things with today’s youth in mind. Whether it be crafting music for our future leaders or standing with them in protest. Now, obviously, given his stature, it’d be almost impossible for Wiz — who is set to release his fifth studio album, Blacc Hollywood, on Aug. 19th — to physically march in Ferguson, Missouri during his tour stop in St. Louis. Instead, while performing, Khalifa opted to wear a white tee with “Don’t Shoot” on the front, and “#RIPMIKEBROWN” on the back, paying homage to the late teen slain by Ferguson police.
