How Did THIS Rapper Join Love & Hip-Hop: New York?

Rapper Snootie Wild is seeing success with his single “Yayo,” and he apparently wants to bring it to the next level, and has joined the cast of Love & Hip-Hop…in New York, though. It’s pretty interesting, considering he’s from Memphis, Tennessee – which is nowhere even remotely close to the Big Apple but if it makes for good TV, Mona Scott is here for it! “I’ll be on Love And Hip-Hop: New York,” Snootie said in a new interview with Global Grind. “I’m finna terrorize. I’m not going there for no love.” The show is entering its fifth season, and is set to premiere later this year on VH1. Check out the full interview below.

Sway Announces New Hip-Hop Competition Show In Conjunction With Crooked I

On Friday morning, Crooked I dropped by Sway In The Morning to reveal some major news – he and Sway would be working together for the first ever rap competition TV series, One Shot. On the show, MCs will compete for the title of hip-hop’s next superstar, with the winner receiving a record deal with SMH Records and $100,000 cash. Crooked I, DJ King Tech and SMH Records CEO Mike Smith will travel to Charlotte, Atlanta, Miami, New York, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco and Los Angeles, acting as the judges for the rappers’ auditions, along with a celebrity guest judge in each respective city. A VIP green room will feature other media guests and celebrities, who will weigh in on each rapper’s performance as well. The final four will be picked to compete in the main event for that city in a major showcase that will prove whether or not they deserve one shot. Before each main event, the four rappers chosen will work with SMH Records co-founder Jonathan Hay, Mike Smith, Crooked I, and Tech on the songs that they will perform. These four will act as mentors for each artist and prepare them for the final showcase in Las Vegas that will be hosted by Sway. Viewers will also see segments that highlight each contestant’s story of struggle or inspiration, conducted by famed hip-hop journalists Kim Osorio and Kathy Iandoli. Rocsi Diaz Reportedly Let Go From Entertainment Tonight

After 2 years in the position, former 106 & Park host Rocsi Diaz has reportedly been let go from Entertainment Tonight, and replaced by Showbiz Tonight entertainment correspondent, Nischelle Turner. There’s been no official statement as of yet, but according to the report, it’s on its way. Rocsi has been in the news these last few years more for her love life than anything else, linked with everyone from Juicy J to Eddie Murphy and Sean Kingston, but there’s no denying that she’s good at what she does! With Keshia Chante reportedly leaving 106, I wonder if Roc would ever go back? (Probably not, but you never know!)
