Troy Ave is currently out on $500k bail as he fights charges from the Irving Plaza shooting, and he’s taking making sure that work gets done while he can. Wasting no time, the Brooklyn rapper has already prepared an album. Roland Collins (which is his real name) will drop this Friday, August 12. This follows up his last project, a mixtape named Free Troy Ave, that he released while he was still behind bars.

Troy Ave has always maintained his innocence in the Irving Plaza shooting, stating that he had simply acted in self defense, picking up the gun that he and his now-decreased friend Banga were originally shot at with and protecting himself.

Troy Ave Released After Posting $500k Bond
After spending over a month behind bars following the shooting at Irving Plaza in May, Troy Ave has been released on a $500k bond. The rapper is charged with attempted murder, weapons possession and more, after an altercation he was involved in claimed the life of his longtime friend and bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter, and injured three others, including himself. The murder charge was dropped at a previous court date, however, as police believe another gunman was involved – which coincides with what Troy and his lawyers have been saying as well.
