With his new project “Dope Boy Troy” dropping next week, he follows up the video for “Real Eyes Realize Real Lies” with his new single “Why.” The track finds Troy expressing how he feels about mainstream rappers not being able to keep it real over a production beat by Trilogy.

This past Christmas, Troy Ave was shot at while sitting in his red Maserati in his hometown of Brooklyn. The rapper was hit twice, and was taken to the hospital to treat his [luckily] non-life threatening injuries. Though he was okay, the luxury car didn’t fare as well! In a new video posted to Instagram last week, Ave shows off the damage to the whip, adding, “Blood in tha Foreign! some is mine, most is Jesus’ I’m blessed so Ima bless y’all wit a new mixtape.” Check out the video below.
Troy Ave Speaks Out On Taxstone Arrest
Taxstone has recently been arrested for connections in the Irving Plaza shooting that took place last year. Troy Ave has now spoken out on the arrest calling it a “positive step closer to true justice.”
