Next month will make five years since we lost Trayvon Martin at the hands of George Zimmerman. Trayvon’s parents, Sybrina and Tracy, have made some progress in bringing awareness to the racist laws and injustice, but they’re worried it will all be undone now that Donald Trump is in office. The couple just released a new book, Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin, and during a promotional interview, they revealed there is a “strong possibility” they will soon be running for office to be at the frontline of making changes.
Trayvon Martin’s Parents Will Be Releasing A Book In January
Trayvon Martin’s parents have just signed a book deal. In January, they are looking to release their book, shy of Trayvon’s 22nd birthday and almost five years since he was killed by George Zimmerman. Random House’s One World editor Christopher Jackson announced the book during a recent interview.
George Zimmerman Claims That He Was Punched In The Face After Talking About The Trayvon Martin Shooting In Public
George Zimmerman was reportedly punched in the face by a random civilian after he introduced himself as the guy who killed Trayvon Martin. The incident took place at Gators Riverside restaurant in Sanford, FL last week. According to the 911 call that Zimmerman made he was explaining to people at his table that he’s shot Martin in self-defense. He says a man who overheard walked up to his table and asked, “You’re bragging about that?” Zimmerman claimed that the man who hit him said that he was going to kill him.

Everyone knows the sad story of the killing of Trayvon Martin. Back in 2012 George Zimmerman killed an unarmed black teenager and literally got away with murder. Since the trial has ended it seems as if Zimmerman has not shown any remorse for his actions. He has put the gun he used to kill Martin on Ebay. It seems as if he is trying to capitalize off of killing an unarmed minor. Now Zimmerman is bashing Trayvon Martin’s mother and father and is saying that his parents didn’t spend enough time raising him.
