The Scion FR-S/Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ triplets are being recalled due to an issue not with the car, but with the owner’s manual: pages detailing the operation of the smart airbags contain a misprint. Although it’s classified as a recall, owners don’t need to take their cars to their dealers; Scion and Subaru will be sending the nearly 2,800 owners corrected pages that can be inserted in the manual. Auto Talk: Gazoo Racing drums up twincharged 320-horsepower Toyota GT86
As if turbos weren’t enough. Gazoo Racing (full name: Gazoo Racing Masters of Nürburgring) has unveiled a concept racing version of the famed Toyota GT86 that features both a turbocharger and a supercharger to offer up 320 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. Funk Flex

Toyota is out to draw parallels between the company’s new GT86 sports car and some of the legends of the automaker’s past. A new video depicting the new coupe’s development spends plenty of time with the GT86 on screen with the likes of the Toyota Sports 800 and even the AE86. Those are both fine sparring partners for a vehicle that prides itself on superior handling over outright brawn.
