Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 4/20/14 … Congrats To August Alsina On A #2 Debut!

There is no sign of the Frozen soundtrack stopping its reign any time soon! Fueled by Easter shopping, the soundtrack to the hit Disney film reached its biggest sales week yet, marking its 11th week at number 1 on the Billboard charts with 259k copies sold. To date, Frozen has sold 2.3 million copies, and now surpasses The Lion King as the longest-running number one soundtrack by an animated film. Also winning big this week is August Alsina, whose debut album Testimony comes in at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 on the Hip-Hop and R&B chart! Congrats, homie! Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 3/2/14 … Congrats To ScHoolboy Q On A #1 Debut!

It was a good week for debuts, as there are 6 brand new albums in the Billboard 200 this week! A big congratulations goes out to ScHoolboy Q, whose major label debut Oxymoron is sitting quite comfortably at number one with 139k units sold since its release last Tuesday. Billboard’s Top 10 Album Sales, Week Ending 2/23/14 … ‘Frozen’ Earns Most Weeks At #1 For Soundtracks Since ‘Titanic’

Disney’s soundtrack to Frozen keeps its reign at number 1 on the Billboard charts this week, becoming its fifth [nonconsecutive] week atop the list. This accolade qualifies the album for the most weeks in the top spot for a soundtrack since Titanic racked up 16 straight weeks at number one in the first half of 1998. Insane! The Grammys aired last Sunday, the same day the Billboard charts close out, so last week’s sales were only effected a teeny bit by the performances. Kid Ink definitely has a reason to celebrate today! The California rapper released his major label debut album last week via RCA, and scored a top 3 spot on the Billboard charts! Billboard’s Top 10 Albums, Week Ending 1/5/14 … ‘Frozen’ Soundtrack Nabs The Top Spot!

Thanks to its success in the box office this past week, the soundtrack to Disney’s movie Frozen climbed up the charts and settled at the number one spot for today’s Billboard charts, moving an additional 165k copies. Beyonce is still in a strong spot, however, coming in at number 2 with another 130k units sold of her ‘surprise’ album. Get the full top 10 list below!
