I’ve never been a fan of Tony Romo. Yes, I am a Giants fan … but that’s not why I don’t care for Romo. I give credit where credit is due. RG3 is a beast, Michael Vick is/was a great QB …but Romo? Nope. The guy just cracks under pressure … like he did Sunday with a playoff berth on the line. Former Cowboys Deion Sanders and Michael Irvin had some strong words for Tony Romo after the loss. NFL:(Photos) Tony Romo Visits Children’s Hospital
I am a DIEHARD Giants fan, so it is in my DNA to hate anyone who plays quarterback, especially this Romo guy. But at times like this you have to drop your hate and show love. Romo took some time out during the holidays to bring some smiles and cheer to kids at the Children’s Hospital in Dallas. For some of these kids seeing him there was literally the highlight of their year, let alone Christmas. NFL: Cowboys Still Want To Keep Tony Romo as Their Quarterback For the Rest of His Career
A week into the season there were reports the Cowboys had approached quarterback Tony Romo about a new contract though nothing immediately came of it. In 2007, Romo signed a six-year, $67 million deal and is set to make $9 million in 2012 and $11.5 million in 2013. Despite Dallas’ uneven start — they’re 3-4 so far — Romo, who has 15 turnovers (including a league-high 13 interceptions), remains in the organization’s long-term plans. Read more after the jump.
