TLCVEVO We’re going back in time (thank God)..as the I Love The 90s tour shares some dates and performers.
TLC will soon be dropping their fifth and final studio album. The group’s manager released the exciting information. This is a dope move on TLC’s end.
Today makes 14 years since we lost the beautiful Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopez. Left Eye was known for her cool spunky attitude as she rapped in the hit girl group ‘TLC.’ Her life came to a tragic end April 25,2002 after being in a car crash. Her car swerved off the road as she tried not to hit another driver. Lisa was thrown from her car and died instantly.
TLC started a Kickstarter campaign in January of this year, looking for funding to create their final group album, independently. With a goal of $150,000, the ladies quickly surpassed that – and after the 30 day period, ended up with a whopping $430,000! Donations came from fans all over, including a generous $5,000 from Katy Perry. As incentives for the donations, prizes ranged from a signed copy of the album when it’s made, all the way to a sleepover party with T-Boz. However, nearly a year later, many of the prizes have yet to be fulfilled, and as far as an album – even a single?! Nowhere in sight. Needless to say, people are getting restless.
TLC fans have become impatient and are demanding that T-Boz and Chilli give them their money back. Back in January TLC, went out on a limb and asked for their fans money and support to fund their fifth and final album. The iconic group started a kickstarter campaign with hopes to raise $150,000. Fans were so excited about the album that they were able to raise more than twice that amount, and raked in $430,000 in just one week! Now, nearly eleven months later fans are demanding to know where the promised new music is. Hit the jump for more.
