NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio announced today that NYPD will no longer be arresting citizens for certain low-level offenses in Manhattan. The lists of offenses includes public consumption of alcohol, public urination, littering and riding between subway cars or taking up more than one subway seat. According to Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr, these offenses will no longer be prosecuted however offenders who have a warrant can be “detained” while those who do not can still receive a summons and be required to pay a fine. A man is suing the California lottery after he claims that he bought a $63 million winning ticket and was told the ticket was “too damaged” and not eligible for the jackpot. Brandy Milliner of Los Angeles claims he purchased the ticket at a 7-Eleven in Chatsworth, California, back in August 2015, which matched the six winning numbers. He claims, upon bringing the ticket to lottery officials he was given a congratulatory note and a photocopy of his ticket. However six months later, Milliner received another yet from lottery officials retracting his win, saying his ticket was “too damaged.” More below.

It looks like even celebrities get pulled over by the cops for unsafe driving! Australian rapper Iggy Azalea was driving in Beverly Hills when she made an illegal left turn. In a matter of seconds, the police put their lights on and pulled the “Fancy” rapper over on Monday afternoon. Luckily, the cop was super nice and let Iggy go with a simple warning because he said she was “very understanding” and knew she was in the wrong. It was definitely Iggy’s lucky day because she didn’t even have to use her fame to get her out of a ticket. The officer claims he had absolutely NO clue that she was a famous artist.
