The Simpsons Will Soon Be The Longest-Running Scripted Series

The Simpsons has just become the longest-running scripted series, after Fox just renewed the cartoon for a record breaking 30th season. Though the show is currently on its 28th season, it will live for at least two more, which takes the crown from Gunsmoke for the most episodes in a series. The latter had 635 episodes, while The Simpsons will have a total of 669 episodes by the end of the 30th season.

The first episode of ‘The Simpsons’ aired in 1989. To-date, in 2015; the show has aired twenty-six seasons and has just been renewed for seasons twenty-seven and twenty-eight. Dope! Pharrell Set To Guest Star On ‘The Simpsons’

Singer, song-writer, producer Triple threat Pharrell has an exciting new business endeavour to his already impressive resume. Skateboard P will be guest starring on the popular show ‘The Simpsons’ on February 8th on the episode entitled Walking Big & Tall. He is one of the many celebs to make a guest star appearance on the long-time running show. According to the executive producer of the show Al Jean, “Pharrell offers to write a new anthem for the town” in his special episode. Make sure to tune in to check it out! Should be a classic.
