In random news of the day, singer M.I.A. and mild-mannered CNN news anchor Anderson Cooper exchanged some words on social network Twitter yesterday. In the midst of M.I.A. promoting a news doc that was airing called “Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields: War Crimes Unpunished,” she accused Cooper of calling her a terrorist back in 2009. This is crazy, the Feds arrested a man who was allegedly planning a suicide attack on the U.S. Capitol! The man, in his 30s, was headed to the Capitol building and was arrested following a long, extensive FBI investigation after he mentioned an attack on the building.
