NFL: Titans Chris Johnson Says He’s Criticized Because of His Contract

In the days leading up to the 2011 season, Chris Johnson landed a four-year, $53.5 million contract extension, with $30 million of it guaranteed. Shortly after the ink dried, expectations for the three-time Pro Bowl running back skyrocketed. He responded with, by his lofty standards, a very mediocre season, rushing for 1,047 yards, four touchdowns, and a few impromptu trips to the bench.  Read more after the jump. NFL: Chris Johnson Says He’s Going to Lead the League in Rushing This Year

NFL: Chris Johnson Will Lose $300K If He Doesn’t Hit 1,000 Yard Mark

By all accounts, Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson’s 2011 season has been disappointing.  The Tennessean reported this week that Johnson stands to keep $300,000 if he runs for 14 or more yards against the Texans, which would push his season total to 1,000.  Read more after the jump. @Shay_Marie x @gametimegirl
