A teacher in Florida has been suspended after giving his 8th grade class an assignment that consisted of breaking down Lil Wayne’s popular “6 Foot, 7 Foot” lyrics. The YMCMB emcee had a sit-down with ESPN’s First Take during NBA All-Star Weekend where he commented on the sticky situation. Weezy said, “I’d never be embarrassed by anything I say because I say it and I mean it. But I don’t think that kids—I mean, I don’t think that you should be trying to teach it any way to kids because I don’t record it and say it for kids to listen to it, but they will hear it.” Check out the full interview below.

Well, this is disturbing and highly inappropriate. A 24-year-old math teacher at Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington has been arrested and charged with child rape and immoral communication with a minor after she reportedly had sexual relations with three young boys in her class. After an anonymous tip was given to the police, the situation was investigated and three young men came forward. Two of the 15-year-old boys claimed their teacher, Meredith Powell, had sex with them in the classroom. Another former student of Powell also stated she would send nude snap-chat photos of herself in the tub until his girlfriend began to question the pics and flirtatious texts. Despite the harsh allegations, close friends and students of the teacher do not believe the reports and have even been supporting the teacher by wearing “Free Powell” T-shirts.
Florida English Teacher Suspended For Teaching Students Lil Wayne Lyrics
A teacher at The Charter Schools of Boynton Beach in Florida has been suspended for giving her 8th grade students an English lesson using Lil Wayne lyrics. Although that sounds like a class I would LOVE to be in, the parents of the kids are outraged due to the explicit content in the lyrics. The teacher used Wayne’s “6 Foot, 7 Foot” song off of his The Carter IV album. A representative from the school said, “The lesson was for students to learn to identify literary devices. The teacher had already introduced Edgar Allen Poe and Shakespeare. Students were having difficulty grasping the concepts of literary devices such as: pun, simile, metaphor, so the teacher used colloquial material. This material did not meet the school’s standards and was not approved.
