At this point there are pretty much nothing but theories, but a possible one is that the plane some how doubled back over Malaysia, and IF they did, and IF passengers had their phones on(which some do, 30% according to TMZ’s report), then the data could be on a tower in the city of Kota Bharu.

Seems as though Hov and Ye had a performance at SXSW last night, and since I hadn’t heard that they would be, I want to say this could be an impromptu performance, but we’ll def take that!! This is very sad to see for the folks having a good time at the yearly Music+Tech festival down in Austin, which brings in crowds from around the globe, especially with all the musical acts performing down there this year.
