Jay-Z And Kanye West Being Sued Over “Watch The Throne” Sample
Jay-Z and Kanye West are being sued by soul singer Syl Johnson for a sample they used on Watch The Throne. Johnson claims that Jay and Yeezy illegally used parts of his song “Different Strokes” on their song “The Joy.” Johnson’s lawyers are saying the Kanye tried to clear a sample of the song for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy but wasn’t able to receive the proper clearance so the song was scrapped from the album.
