Auto Talk: Suzuki to launch sprightlier Swift Sport

It’s compact, sporty, has a manual transmission… and we don’t expect it to arrive Stateside anytime soon. We’re talking about the all-new Suzuki Swift Sport, which is set to make its official debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The compact hot hatch is a tuned version of the standard Swift, with power rated at 134 horses and torque at 118 pound-feet, fed to the wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Car Talk: Suzuki Swift Sport

Hot-hatch enthusiasts take note: the Suzuki Swift Sport is back. Having updated the Swift range last year, Suzuki unveiled the rather tantalizing S-Concept in Geneva a few months back. What you see here may not be quite as extreme as the show car, but carries the salient points to the showroom. And if the previous-generation Swift Sport was anything to go by, it could become a new favorite among pocket rocket enthusiasts. Funkmasterflex
