NCAA: Jim Boeheim & Syracuse Have To Forfeit Wins, Lose Scholarships, Face Probation After Ruling

The long anticipated report from the NCAA on the Syracuse basketball program was released today and it is not good for the orange or coach Jim Boeheim. The committee decided the school must forfeit wins, lose scholarships the next few years, and be on probation. In addition coach Boeheim will be suspended for the first 9 conference games next year. Cuse did get some good news however when they were not banned from post season play except for the ban they gave themselves for this season. This will make recruiting much easier as they don’t have to worry about top high school kids shunning them because of a ban.

NFL: Report, Adrian Peterson Doesn’t Trust Vikings, Not Sure About Returning

Adrian Peterson will likely be playing football in 2015 after he at some point gets reinstated by the commissioner, but it sounds more and more like Minnesota will not be that place. Peterson admits he loves the new coaching staff that he was only able to play one game under, but it’s the front office and numerous other people that he no longer trusts within the organization. Vikings fans are nervous and fans of other teams can have a glimmer of hope to see AP wearing their team colors.

NFL: Report, Ndamukong Suh Suspended For Lions Playoff Game For Stepping On Aaron Rodgers

This had to be expected and I am personally happy it did. Ndamukong Suh was suspended for the Detroit Lions playoff game next week against the Dallas Cowboys for stepping on Aaron Rodgers twice during the game with the Packers yesterday. It was clear Suh did it on purpose regardless of how much he denies it. This is one of those cases where your past acts catch up with you as you look like a dirty player.

NFL: Ray Rice Makes First Statement Since Being Reinstated By NFL

Ray Rice is finally free of his ridiculous suspension and is free to sign with any team he so chooses. Earlier today it was announced Rice won his appeal over Commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL in regards to his indefinite suspension from the league after footage leaked of him hitting his wife. The entire time the NFL and Goodell seemed very sketchy about what they were up to when it came to Rice, even creating punishment as it went along instead of sticking to policy. Rice has his freedom back and has something to say about it as well.
