I don’t know about you, but I’d throw a FIT if Gucci Mane of ALL people was brought in to talk to my kid’s class for Career Day. Why would I want a man with an ice cream cone tattooed on his face, a long record of arrests and that once shoved a woman out of a moving car teaching my child ANYTHING at all? There are lots of successful rappers from Atlanta that could have been brought into Crawford Long Middle School, that could offer some way better advice than La Flare. I’m just…shocked. Would you want him speaking to your kids? Let us know in the comments!
Kaitlin Roig, 29, ushered 15 of her 1st grade students into a bathroom after Adam Lanza shot out the classroom windows. All her students were strong and brave, listening to her when she asked them to be quiet. One student even mentioned he knew karate, so he could lead the way out. Thankfully, Ms. Roig and her students survived the attack unharmed and safe. It’s heartwarming to hear heroic stories like these during times of tragedy. See her emotional interview below. Biz Baby
Many lives saved thanks to one hero, Victoria Soto. Soto, 27, saved ALL her 1st grade students by throwing her body and sacrificing herself in front of ‘deeply disturbed’ evil gunman Adam Lanza. She put her students into a closet when Lanza entered her classroom and she tried her best to shield the children from the shooter. One of her former students, only 10 years old, extremely distraught is still wanting to believe his teacher is alive. The student had seen Soto get shot, but in his young, innocent mind, he’s still believing she’s okay & recovering. So heartbreaking. Her astonishing bravery is appreciated by people all over the world. See the gallery for the beautiful angel the saved lives and more details be;ow.. Biz Baby
The Chromebook has done a great job in the computer market. Being a low cost unit, with mid to high range capabilities it’s perfect for the average researcher or browser/e-mail user. Google has done great research to see the educational effect of the Chromebooks being in classrooms. Over 1,000 schools have adopted them already, with many already on the list. Google is working with DonorsChoose.org which is an online charity that connects donors directly to public school needs. This holiday season teachers can request the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook, which is one of the most widely deployed models in schools, for $150-credit off the retail price of the unit. This would bring the end cost to only $99 per laptop. Very simple to sign your school up! Hit the jump for links with instructions on how to get Chromebooks to your classroom! Tat Wza
