Mary J. Blige is currently filming the film Mudbound, alongside Carey Mulligan, Garrett Hedlund, Jason Clarke and Jason Mitchell – who you may remember better as Eazy-E in 2015’s blockbuster, Straight Outta Compton. Mary and Jason have been doing press runs together and apparently sparking tons of rumors, and now publications are posting reports that the pair could be an item. Mary, 46, is much older than 30-year-old Jason, but they’re both grown either way! Plus, the singer is fresh out of a long marriage, so a young tenderoni is the perfect way to bounce back!
Jerry Heller’s Lawyer Says ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Led To His Death
Jerry Heller passed away on Friday at the age of 75, due to a car accident as a result of having what’s been described as “a medical emergency” while driving. (His attorney says the family believes it to be a heart attack.) The former manager of N.W.A. had been in the spotlight a lot more in the last year, after the success of 2015’s Straight Outta Compton film. However, he was not happy with the way he was portrayed, and had filed a $110 million lawsuit for defamation of character against the film’s producers, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and the Estate of Eazy-E. It was dismissed over the summer, however, the judge did say Heller might have a point as it pertained to two scenes, but he had to prove the interaction with Cube didn’t happen and that it was written into the script with malice.
Straight Outta Compton’s Jason Mitchell Accused Of Attacking Woman At Hotel
A woman has accused Straight Outta Compton star Jason Mitchell (aka Eazy-E) of attacking her at a hotel in Boston earlier this week. Police are currently investigating the matter, after they were called to The Ritz by the 18-year-old woman (girl?) who said that the actor grabbed her arms, threw her to the ground by her hair, called her a bitch and fled the scene. Jason may not be totally in the wrong, though.
Most Of Jerry Heller’s Lawsuit Over ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Has Been Dismissed
Last fall, former N.W.A. manager Jerry Heller filed a lawsuit against the producers of Straight Outta Compton, claiming that it was “filled with defamatory lies.” The $110 million defamation of character lawsuit also named Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and the Estate of Eazy-E, but they can rest easy now that a judge has dismissed most of it. The record-breaking N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton was infamously snubbed at the Oscars this year, only being nominated for Best Screenplay – which even if hadn’t lost, would have went to their two WHITE writers. After winning the “True Story” award at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards last night, the cast took a second to throw some light shade toward the Oscars, as Eazy-E actor Jason Mitchell first thanked “The Academy,” then corrected it.
