Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter is all those things (and more), but he’s also one of the biggest players in the sports scene, especially in his native New York. With the release of his latest album Watch The Throne, a collaboration with Kanye West, SI.com decided it was time to dedicate a gallery solely to Jiggaman’s many sports appearances. Yesterday Derek Jeter made history as a New York Yankee for making his 3,000 hit in his career. After the game, Yes Network caught up with Yank’s Celeb Friend Jay-Z (we call him Hov) in the crowd in the tunnel outside the Yankees’ clubhouse after the game and asked him his thoughts on Jeter’s 3K hit.
