After keeping her role in upcoming Spider-Man movie top secret, it’s finally revealed who Zendaya will be playing in the next installment of the Franchise. This isn’t a small role either.
Zendaya Joins ‘Spider-Man’ Cast
Singer/actress Zendaya is taking her talents to the big screen. According to reports by Deadline Zendaya has just joined the cast of the upcoming Spider-Man reboot. While her role in the film remains unclear at this time, it’s been speculated that she will play ‘Michele Gonzales’, Peter Parker’s roommate and possible love interest. Zendaya will star alongside, Marisa Tomei and Tom Holland. The film is set for release July 7, 2017.

After rallying alongside is fans, campaigning for Marvel to cast a black actor for a superhero, Donald Glover a.k.a. Childish Gambino has been revealed as Miles Morales—a half-Hispanic, half-black Spider-Man counterpart—in the upcoming Disney XD animated series, Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors.
