Once again it’s on! The Tanning of America continues with its third installment of the series. For this episode, we get closer to the current generation of hip hop and its meaning. Jimmy Iovine talks how he got tracks from Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre tracks like, “Nuthin’ But A G Thang” on MTV and radio, which then turned into Rolling Stone and Source magazine cover appearances. Tommy Hilfiger drops by, connecting hip hop and fashion as he talks the fashion of the 90s. “Everything was baggy. Everything was lose so, we started designing into it,” Hilfiger says about him driving through Harlem, just to get a look into the styles. It’s all connecting. The changes of a culture that many of us love so much. Some great people had a hand in it. Hit the jump to check out 3 of 3 in Gimmie The Loot.
