Legal Battle Rages Over Rights To Aaliyah’s Music Royalties

Sadly, this is far too common with musicians that are no longer with us. A publishing company is fighting over the rights to Aaliyah’s songs, suing a record company for allegedly selling Aaliyah’s music on the web without permission. Reservoir Media Management filed the lawsuit against a company called Craze Productions, claiming Craze has been illegally selling songs from Aaliyah’s albums “Aaliyah” and “One in a Million” albums on iTunes. They say they are the sole owners to the songs after acquiring the music rights in 2012, so Craze needs to be blocked and pay up. We’ll keep you updated!

Sports: Pepsi Teams With Ice Cube, Travie McCoy & More For NFL Team Anthems

Pepsi and the National Football League are launching the Pepsi NFL Anthems initiative featuring four originally created anthems by Kid Rock, Kelly Clarkson, Ice Cube and Travie McCoy, as well as a remixed version of Wiz Khalifa’s Black and Yellow Clarkson has already released her song for the Dallas Cowboys, Get Up (A Cowboys Anthem), and McCoy has come up with All In for the New York Giants.
