In promotion of his new album I Decided, out February 3, Big Sean will hit the Saturday Night Live stage for the first time later this month! Alongside Sean will be comedian Aziz Ansari on hosting duties, so this should make for a good show. Find out when to tune in below!
Photo Credit: NBC [Screenshot] Chance The Rapper appeared on Saturday Night Live this weekend, closing out the show for the season. The Chicago artist performed two songs, his first with Noname for “Finish Line,” and the second with Francis & The Lights for “Same Drugs.” Though Chance previously appeared on SNL as a guest of Kanye West earlier this year, this was his first time performing his own cuts. In addition to the two performances, Chance also got to act in a skit, starring as Run-DMC while celebrating President Obama’s final days in the office. Check out all of the clips below. What a year for Chance!
This past Saturday, Dave Chappelle and A Tribe Called Quest brought Saturday Night Live its highest ratings this season. The episode was hilarious, but it turns out there was even more hilarity that we didn’t get to see! In a pre-taped scene that didn’t make the cut, Chappelle supplies the voice to a swan that gets into an argument with a few ducks, voiced by SNL’s Alex Moffat and Melissa Villaseñor…and all they live inside of a painting at a motel. LOL! Check out the clip below!
Solange took her number one album to the Saturday Night Live stage over the weekend, performing fan favorites “Cranes In The Sky” and “Don’t Touch My Hair,” with assistance from UK singer Sampha on the latter. In the audience to support were not only her son, her hubby and her proud mama, Tina Lawson, but big sis Beyoncé and husband Jay Z as well. Later, Ms. Tina continued to show her support for her two babies, recreating both Solange’s A Seat At The Table cover look, and Bey’s “Formation” look. Check out the performances and pics below.
Drake recently had a few comedic skits on Saturday Night Live and there was one that didn’t make the show. Well here’s that one unreleased segment as Drizzy plays “Derek”, a new Kinko’s employee just trying to fit in at work…sounds about right lol
