Last night 50 Cent, as part of SXSW’s Shady showcase, surprised fans with an appearance from Slim Shady himself. Em joined Fif on stage to perform my favorite of their collabs, “Patiently Waiting.” Fif performed his album Get Rich Or Die Trying in it’s entirety for the first time at the festival. Slaughterhouse Reveal Album Title, Release Date & Tour Dates
Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and Royce Da 5’9, collectively known as all 4 quarters of the Slaughter, will be hitting the road this Spring to promote their sophomore album/Shady Records debut. (Video) BET Awards Cyphers 1 And 2
The cyphers are my favorite part of the BET Hip Hop Awards, which air October 11, and any other award show for that matter. If you don’t know what a cypher is, it’s when rappers and sometimes singers get together and rap/sing back and forth showcasing their talents. Beats By Dre was heavy in the Brisk Bodega on Saturday, a pop-up shop in NYC that paid homage to the whole Shady Records camp.
