The NFL sent a memorandum to all teams last Tuesday regarding the re-issued discipline in the Saints bounty scandal identifies former Vikings defensive lineman Jimmy Kennedy as the person who originally told former Vikings coach Brad Childress in early 2010 that the Saints had a bounty on former Vikings quarterback Brett Favre in the 2009 NFC title game. NFL: Congrats to Drew Brees! Brees Breaks Johnny Unitas’ Record!

Congrats to Drew Brees!  He broke Hall of Fame quarterback Johnny Unitas’ record for consecutive games with a touchdown pass set from 1956-60. He tied the record of 47 straight games last weekend in Green Bay and broke it tonight against the Chargers with number 48.  Brees connected with Devery Henderson on a 40-yard scoring pass with 3:58 left in the first quarter ofthe Saints’ home matchup with the San Diego Chargers.
