On Monday I reported that Ryan Lochte was dropped by Speedo, and Ralph Lauren decided not to renew his contract. He had two endorsements left including one who initially said they would stand by him but now they’re ALL gone.
On Monday I reported that Ryan Lochte was dropped by Speedo, and Ralph Lauren decided not to renew his contract. He had two endorsements left including one who initially said they would stand by him but now they’re ALL gone.
As I reported earlier, Speedo dropped Ryan Lochte for lying about being robbed at gunpoint in Rio. Ralph Lauren didn’t exactly drop him, but they are done with him too. Lochte’s contract was up at the end of the Olympic games and they have decided not to renew.
Ryan Lochte managed to escape the law in Brazil but he didn’t escape the consequential punishment in the US that comes with the huge lie he told. The Olympic swimmer lied about being robbed at gunpoint in Rio and now he’s lost one of his biggest sponsors as Speedo is pulling the plug.
Ryan Lochte has officially manned up and apologized for what happened in Rio. Well, sort of. He apologized for the way he handled things but still seems to be of the belief that him and his teammates were victims, even though that theory has gone out the window already.
The fallout from the Ryan Lochte involved drama continues, although it appears we are getting near the end of all of this nonsense. By now you already know Lochte and three of his other teammates made up the story of being robbed because the actual truth was their moronic, drunken selves decided to destroy a bathroom at a gas station and then get into an altercation with security guards. Lochte made sure to get out of Brazil early in the week but his three other teammates were pulled off planes and forced to stay. The other teammates are finally on their way home today but one of them is light in the pocket for it.
Ryan Lochte’s tale of being robbed at gunpoint began to unravel quickly. After an investigation by Brazilian police, it was revealed that he made it up after an altercation at a gas station.
