Fans are split between the two guards and there’s the age-old debate about team status vs. player stats. The Houston Rockets currently have the No. 3 spot in the Western Conference while the Oklahoma City Thunder are sitting at No. 6, but Harden is averaging 29. 4 points, 8 rebounds, and 11.3 assists while Westbrook is averaging a triple-double of 31.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 10.4 assists. Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James is having one of the best individual seasons of his storied career and would become just the fourth player to win at least five MVP honors if he was selected. Isaiah Thomas and John Wall are dark horses as their teams have turned things around, but for the most part, it’s a four-player race.
