Andrew Wiggins is expected to be named the 2015 NBA Rookie of the Year tomorrow, beating out expected contenders such as Chicago Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic and Orlando Magic point guard Elfrid Payton. Wiggins was selected first overall by the Cavaliers then traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Kevin Love deal.
Is it logical for a team to trade a young star who just won rookie of the year? The answer is typically NO, but that is exactly what the Philadelphia 76ers are considering. Not too mention the 76ers have been known to make a bad decision or two in their time so I wouldn’t put it past them. Philly has the third pick in next months NBA draft and are strongly considering taking guard, Dante Exum from Australia. Exum has NBA scouts drooling, even though most fans here do not know who he is.
The 2013-14 season wasn’t exactly a bright one for the Philadelphia 76ers as they finished with a 19-63 record and 29th overall in the NBA. There was one shining light however, Michael Carter Williams.
As previously announced, Macklemore has been chosen as The Source’s ‘Man of the Year’ for 2013, with Chance The Rapper as their ‘Rookie of the Year.’ The guys each have their own special edition cover, and above is Mack’s. The Seattle native follows in the footsteps of Rick Ross (2 years in a row – 2010 and 2011) and 2 Chainz for 2012. Congrats!
