Earlier this month, Rihanna held her first annual Diamond Charity Ball in support of her Clara Lionel Foundation, raising awareness and finances to improve the quality of life for communities around the world in the areas of health, education, arts and culture. While tons of her famous friends like Kim Kardashian and Big Sean were there, as well as her entire family, one person didn’t make the cut – her dad! Rih’s father, Ronald Fenty, has long struggled with drug and alcohol issues, and after coming dangerously close to a jail stint last year, he opted for an expensive rehab stint instead – which his famous daughter footed the bill for. He was doing well since his stay, but unfortunately, fell off the wagon while at his daughter’s big event, and was removed before he even got the chance to see her. Following the mishap, he granted a very telling interview to the Daily News, spilling the beans on why he and Rihanna aren’t always on great terms, what’s up with her and Breezy, the recent pregnancy rumors surrounding her and more. Despite her two nominations, Rihanna skipped the BET Awards at the Staples Center in LA last night. But why? Was she not in the area? Nope. She was in Cali. Turns out she had something much more important to do and that was having dinner with her family. Good for you Rih! Keep your priorities straight! Family first!
Rihanna’s Dad Wants Her To Marry WHO?!
Rihanna’s dad hadn’t been one to bite his tongue when it comes to his daughter and her life. Ronald Fenty isn’t like a Lohan parent, but he has raised a few eyebrows after making some comments about his sometimes estranged daughter, Rihanna. In a recent interview, Ronald opens about about Rihanna getting married saying that he only wants her to get married if that’s what she wants to do. Ronald also shockingly said that he wouldn’t mind if Rihanna married Chris Brown. Although, I think it’s Rihanna’s business if she forgave Chris or not and I hope they are both happy and the incident never happens again, it’s kind of shocking that a father would want his daughter to marry someone who bashed her face in and not some of the other guys she’s dated over the years. Rihanna’s Father Address His Daughter’s Relationship With Chris Brown
Ronald Fenty, Rihanna’s sometimes estranged father, spoke to InTouch about how he feels about his daughter reuniting with Chris Brown. Ronald wasn’t surprised when he found out that Rih and Chris were together and he loves Chris who has shown Ronald nothing but respect, “there’s a lot more to Chris than the whole world knows.” Rih’s dad also went onto say that he is exited for the couple and their future.
