When I watched the kick as it happened on Thanksgiving day, my initial reaction was that the kick to Schaub’s balls was not intentional (judge for yourself if you missed it). NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and league officials looked at Ndamukong Suh’s latest infamous act on the field from several angles, trying to understand why the Detroit Lionsdefensive tackle kicked Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin area. New Orleans coach Sean Payton’s contract is set to expire after this year, making him a free agent. There’s a bit of confusion however since he’s been suspended for this year so there’s a chance his contract will toil over to cover the missed year. Payton’s contract status is up in the air. Sports: Jimmy Kennedy Blasts The NFL & Roger Goodell!!
The NFL sent a memorandum to all teams last Tuesday regarding the re-issued discipline in the Saints bounty scandal identifies former Vikings defensive lineman Jimmy Kennedy as the person who originally told former Vikings coach Brad Childress in early 2010 that the Saints had a bounty on former Vikings quarterback Brett Favre in the 2009 NFC title game. Kennedy has denied those allegations since day 1 and is now firing back against the league. On Friday morning, the NFLPA released a statement from Kennedy. GameTimeGirl
