In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of his seminal debut album Illmatic, Nas held a contest inviting fans to collaborate and produce the official music video for “Represent,” an influential track off of the classic release. This is the first video ever made for the track and was shot at the YouTube Space Los Angeles.

To continue the the 20th Anniversary celebration of Nas’ debut album Illmatic, Nas held a contest for fans to collaborate and produce the official music video for “Represent,” a track off of the classic release. Following the direction of filmmaker Jason Goldwatch, contest winner, Brian Katz and Nas shoot the video in YouTube Studios out in California with a thief of Baghdad concept in mind.

As Nas took over 2 sold out shows at the JFK Center, with the National Symphony Orchestra, for the 20th anniversary of the legendary ‘Illmatic’ album, he brought out all of the classics!
