Through an initiative launched by Vice President Joe Bidden in 2012, the Jewish Federations of North America, which consists of 150,000 Holocaust survivors living below the poverty rate, will receive $12 million to span over the course of five years – let’s do the math; on average, one individual will receive $16,000 a year. While the almost $2.5 million a year will not be finances placed in the peoples’ hands, it “will support $4.1 million in programming annually for organizations that help Holocaust survivors,” the JFNA said. In addition, the funds will be used to advance “innovations in person-centered, trauma-informed supportive services for Holocaust survivors.” While the Jewish community suffered a great genocide during World War II, this initiative leave many questions to other racial groups that also suffered genocide, but for a longer duration. Lil Scrappy done put his paws on a deal for his third album, Reparations.
