Replacement refs once again became an issue Sunday night, as a controversial illegal contact penalty followed by a rare bench personal foul assessed to the Ravens stirred the M & T Bank Stadium crowd into a rage. Indeed, it nearly sounds as if the entire city of Baltimore is joining in the “Bullshit” chant, one so loud NBC commentators Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth were forced to address with various “manure” references. A total of 24 penalties were accepted in the New England Patriots’ Week 3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, 10 of which were committed by New England.
