NFL: Rams Fire Coach Jeff Fisher After Giving Him Contract Extension To Start The Season

photo credit When the Los Angeles Rams got beat down by the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday by a score of 42-14, it gave Jeff Fisher his 165th loss a head coach in the NFL, which tied him for the worst ever. That apparently was the last straw in his mediocre coaching career with the Rams as he was fired today, in a move that should’ve happened a long time ago.


NFL: Report, Rams Made Deal With NFL To Draft Michael Sam To Avoid Going On “Hard Knocks”

NFL reporter Howard Balzer has been doing some digging and has come across some interesting pieces of information. Balzer cites multiple unnamed sources in support of the notion that, in exchange for the Rams drafting Michael Sam, the league office agreed not to compel the Rams to serve as the focus of the Hard Knocks series in 2014. The league did not want it to appear that Sam wasn’t going to be drafted because of his sexual preference so they allegedly made the deal with the Rams, who were located very close to Sam’s University of Missouri campus.

St. Louis Rams receiver Stedman Bailey was shot twice last week, with one of those being a head shot as he sat in a car in front of his home in Florida. NFL: Report, Former NFL Player Who Is Currently In Prison Allegedly Murdered Cellmate

Lawerence Phillips was a star college running back and was selected in the first round of the 1996 NFL draft. It sounds like the beginning of a great life. Fast forward to 2015 and Phillips is currently serving a 31 year prison sentence for a slew of different charges. Life obviously did not turn out for him the way most would have expected and now he is the suspect in the murder of his cellmate at Kern Valley State Prison in California.
