Jameis Winston might be in the NFL now, but Florida State is still having trouble with their quarterbacks and how they treat women. De’Andre Johnson, who was in contention to take over the starting job this season, has been suspended indefinitely and will probably be kicked out of school now that a video of him punching a girl in the face at a bar has been released.
Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was this year’s recipient of the Nancy Lieberman Lifetime Achievement Award given by the basketball Hall of Famer’s foundation and accepted the award at an event in Dallas last week. Romo’s speech was mostly about giving the same kind of help he’s received over the years to the kids supported by the foundation’s work, but he closed with a prediction that he’d be winning another prize early in 2016.
Johnny Manziel left rehab this week after a two month stint at the facility. From all accounts, Johnny football took the rehab very seriously and there seems to be nothing but good things being said about that part of his life. Now it is time to shift focus back to the game he loves, where there are not many good things being said about this part of his life at all. The Browns currently are not sure yet if they wasted a draft pick on him but only he can prove to them that they were right about him to begin with.
Johnny Manziel has been released from a rehab treatment facility, multiple sources told ESPN. The Browns expect Manziel to attend offseason workouts starting April 20, though they could see him earlier than that. What remains to be seen is what rehab did for him and will he be able to earn the job he was drafted for.
Even though he is currently in rehab trying to better himself and get his life together, it seems the Cleveland Browns really don’t want to wait and see how things turn out with Johnny Manziel. According to reports the team is ready to move on from him after just one season and after they traded up in the draft to get him. Seems a bit dramatic but when millions of dollars are at stake, I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.
